Preparation time: 25 mins | Cooking time: 30 - 35 mins | Serves: 6 - 8 people
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 package of filo dough
- 200 ml of water
- 250 g of sugar
- 6 apples
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
- 200 g cashew pieces
- 50g melted butter
- Powdered sugar to decorate
PREPARATION:
Bring a pan to the boil with water and sugar and bring to a boil. Add the peeled and diced apples, cinnamon and cashew pieces. Mix everything together and let it cook for about 5 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180º C.
Roll out the dough and grease a sheet with melted butter. Place the apple mixture at one end. Roll up the dough and brush with melted butter and close the roll. Roll it into a flower shape and place it in the middle of the pan lined with parchment paper.
Repeat the same for the remaining sheets. Then place around the central flower. Repeat this process until you run out of dough sheets and fill the mold.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180º C for approximately 30 to 35 minutes or until cooked.
Remove from the oven and remove from the mold once cooled. Decorate with powdered sugar.
