Preparation Time: 10 minutes | Cooking Time: 35 minutes | To: 6 - 8
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 l whole milk
- 1 l water
- 150 g rice
- 70 g sugar
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 370 g condensed milk
- Ground cinnamon to taste
PREPARATION:
Bring a saucepan with the water and cinnamon sticks to the boil. Once boiling, add the rice and cook over a low heat for about 12 minutes.
Continue cooking over a low heat, stirring occasionally, until the rice is fully cooked but still quite loose and liquid.
In a separate saucepan, add the sugar and heat until it melts and turns into caramel. Add the milk and let it boil for 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and add to the rice, mixing everything together.
Add the condensed milk and let it cook for a further 10 minutes over a low heat.
Remove from the heat, discard the cinnamon sticks and divide into individual bowls or pour into a serving dish.
Once cooled, dust generously with ground cinnamon.
