Preparation time: 12 mins | Cooking time: 3 mins | Serves: 10 units
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 chocolate bars
- 160 ml of cream
- Topping: unsweetened cocoa powder, colored sprinkles, chocolate sprinkles, chopped almonds
PREPARATION:
Prepare the chocolate. Finely chop it into uniform pieces to melt evenly and place it in a heatproof bowl.
Hot cream. Place the cream in a pan over medium heat and cook for 3 minutes or until the cream starts to boil.
Pour the cream over the chocolate, mix until the chocolate melts and let it rest for 3-5 minutes.
Cover the chocolate cream with cling paper (to avoid condensation) and refrigerate for an hour, or until firm.
When it's cold, make balls with your hands. (You can use a dessert spoon for the dose).
Dip the balls in chocolate with the topping of your choice (unsweetened cocoa powder, colored sprinkles, chocolate sprinkles, chopped almonds, etc.)
Place the brigadeiros on a tray and place in the fridge until firmer. Once the truffles or brigadeiros are firm, you can transfer them to an airtight container.
Store your truffles or brigadeiros in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Remove them to come to room temperature about 20 minutes before serving (they should be served at room temperature).
