Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180ºC.

  2. Grease a 22 cm round cake tin with butter and dust it with flour.

  3. In a bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff, add two tablespoons of sugar and beat more. Separately, beat the egg yolks well with the remaining sugar.

  4. Melt the chocolate together with the butter, add it to the egg yolk mixture and beat some more. Mix the flour with the almonds, mix in this mixture, alternating with the beaten egg whites, and pour into the mold.

  5. Cut some figs in half and arrange them around the pan and over the dough.

  6. Bake at 180ºC for 40 minutes

  7. At the end of the cooking time, remove from the heat and let it cool. Decorate with sliced figs. Drizzle with honey and serve.
