Preparation Time: 15-20 minutes | Cook time: 60 minutes | Difficulty: Easy
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 to 5 apples (large, firm varieties)
- Juice of half a lemon (2 tbsp)
- 3 eggs
- 100 g flour
- 1 pinch of salt
- 50 g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Lemon zest
- 100 ml milk
- 25 g melted butter
- 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
- 1 tsp baking powder
PREPARATION:
Start by preheating the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Peel the apples and cut them into thin slices using a rotary peeler. Drizzle with lemon juice to prevent them from browning.
In a bowl, add the eggs, a pinch of salt, the vanilla extract, and the sugar. Beat well until you get a smooth mixture.
Add the lemon zest, milk, and melted butter, and beat again until everything is well combined.
Now add the flour, baking powder, and cinnamon, and fold in gently until the batter is smooth.
Add the apples to the batter little by little, mixing carefully so that each slice is well coated.
In a pan lined with parchment paper, greased with butter, and dusted with flour, arrange the apples and batter in alternating layers.
Important: level each layer well, so there are no gaps.
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 60 minutes.
Let it cool completely before removing from the pan, dust with powdered sugar if desired... and it's ready to serve!
