Preparation Time: 30 mins | Cooking Time: 30 mins | Difficulty: Easy
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 beef steaks (rump, flank, or sirloin)
- 5 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 bay leaves
- 500 g thin shoestring fries (potatoes)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 33 cl (11 fl oz) beer
- Mustard, to taste
- 200 ml heavy cream
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Olive oil, to taste
PREPARATION:
Start by seasoning the meat with salt and pepper on both sides and set aside.
Meanwhile, heat a little olive oil in a frying pan. Add the butter, crushed garlic cloves, and bay leaves, and let it heat up until the butter melts. Fry the steaks on both sides over low heat. Remove and place them on a serving platter.
Add the beer and a bit of mustard to the sauce and mix all the ingredients well. Add the cream, mix everything together, and let the sauce thicken.
Place the shoestring fries in the air fryer basket and drizzle with olive oil. Air fry at 200ºC (390ºF) for 25 minutes, or deep-fry in hot oil until golden and crispy. Remove from the basket and set aside.
On a clay/earthenware plate, place the sauce with the meat on top. Arrange the fries around the steaks. Serve with a nice salad and rice.
