Preparation time: 30 mins | Cooking time: 10 mins | Serves: 6-8 people
INGREDIENTS:
- 8 g baker's yeast
- 200 ml of milk
- 100 g of sugar
- 500 g of flour
- 150 g melted butter
- 3 eggs
- 150 g of paio
- 150 g of sausage
- 1 tbsp salt
PREPARATION:
For the dough: in a bowl add the baker's yeast and warm milk. Dissolve the yeast in the milk. Add the flour, eggs, melted butter and sugar. Mix all the ingredients well and beat vigorously until a ball of elastic dough forms. Add the salt and work the dough until it comes off your hands.
Sprinkle a work surface with flour, place the dough and form it into a ball. Place the dough in a bowl and sprinkle with flour. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise for 1 hour until it doubles in size.
Knead the dough and divide it into two parts. Roll out the dough and place one of the parts on a tray greased with butter and floured. Place the sausage and sausage on top. Place the other part of the dough on top of the meat. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
Brush with a beaten egg yolk.
Bake at 180ºC for around 40 minutes, until golden on the outside and cooked on the inside (use a toothpick to check). Leave to cool and unmold.
