Preparation

  1. Bring the water to the boil with the sugar and let it boil until it reaches the pearl stage, for 10 minutes.

  2. Add the raisins, ground almond kernels, butter, Port wine and bread crumbs. Let it boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.

  3. Remove from the heat and add the beaten egg yolks, stirring constantly. Cook for another 5 minutes, until it thickens.

  4. Remove from the heat, pour into bowls or on a platter and let cool.

  5. Once cold, sprinkle with cinnamon powder.
