Preparation

  1. In a bowl, beat the butter (it is important that the butter is cold so that the cookies maintain their shape after baking) with the sugar until it becomes a homogeneous cream. 

  2. Add the milk and egg and beat again.

  3. Add the sifted flour and mix with the dough in circular movements, preferably using a spatula. If you prefer to use cinnamon in this recipe, add it at this stage along with the flour.

  4. Preheat the oven to 200ºC.

  5. Place the cookie dough into a pastry bag fitted with a plain tip.

  6. On a baking tray with baking paper, place small portions of the dough, leaving space between them.

  7. Place the tray in the oven  and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown on the sides. Remove and let cool on the grill.

  8. The cat tongue biscuits, once cooled, should be crispy.
