INGREDIENTS:

  • 100 g of vermicelli
  • 5 dl of milk
  • 1 l of water
  • 1 lemon peel
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 150 g of sugar
  • 50 g of butter
  • cinnamon for sprinkling

PREPARATION:

Bring the water to the boil with the sugar, lemon peel, cinnamon stick and butter and let it boil for 5 minutes over low heat.

Meanwhile, gently crush the vermicelli strands and add them to the pan. Let cook for 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, beat the 4 egg yolks.

Add the milk and egg yolks to the pan, mix quickly. Let the yolks cook, stirring constantly.

Remove the cinnamon stick and lemon peel, place in bowls or on a platter and let cool.

Once cold, sprinkle with cinnamon powder.
