INGREDIENTS:
For the marinade:
- 240ml buttermilk (½ cup of yogurt + ½ cup of milk)
- 1 egg
- Salt to taste
- 4 chicken steaks
For the breading:
- 125 g of breadcrumbs
- 125 g of wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon sweet chili powder
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon of oregano
- Salt
To assemble:
- 4 Hamburger buns
- Calvé burger sauce (sauce of your choice)
- Tomato in slices
- Lettuce
PREPARATION:
In a bowl, place the buttermilk (½ cup of yogurt + ½ cup of milk) and the egg, beat everything very well.
Add the chicken steaks, season with salt and marinate for about three hours or overnight.
Place the breadcrumbs, wheat flour, paprika, pepper, oregano and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Mix everything. Add the marinated chicken and mix everything together.
Fry in very hot oil for about 6-7 minutes until golden. When they are ready, place them on kitchen paper to drain the excess oil.
Toast the hamburger buns cut in half.
On the base of the bread, spread the sauce, place the breaded chicken, tomato slice and lettuce and cover with the top of the bread spread with the sauce and serve.
